Over the course of her legal career, Shelley Ann has developed considerable litigation experience, leveraging her persistence when representing employees successfully with respect to addressing their work place issues and disputes.
Shelley Ann represents professionals in arbitration proceedings before The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”), who have been unfairly denied bonus and other compensation, or have been wrongfully terminated from their employment. The depth of Shelley Ann’s experience in employment law is also an invaluable asset when she assists executives, and other professionals, with negotiating their employment agreements, compensation packages, as well as severance agreements.
In addition, Shelley Ann provides guidance to small business owners, and individuals seeking to form their own enterprises, with navigating the myriad of issues regarding their business needs and concerns. She assists her clients regarding business structures and formation, including on such matters as bylaws, partnership agreements, operating agreements, and shareholder agreements, and other aspects of business formation and expansion.
Shelley Ann is often appointed by the Courts to represent parties in an array of estate matters, including probate, administration and accounting proceedings. As a result, Shelley Ann is well-versed in these complex and nuanced areas of the law. Shelley Ann also guides her clients regarding their estate planning needs, preparing wills and trusts that are tailored to their wishes and accomplish their objectives.
Shelley Ann is a seasoned litigator in estate matters and represents individuals, including fiduciaries, heirs and beneficiaries, in probate and other estate matters in the Surrogate’s Courts across New York City. She is certified under Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge to serve as guardian, guardian ad litem, court evaluator and attorney for an Alleged Incapacitated Person.
